Jaw Reset Toowoomba and Highfields

Experience relief with a jaw reset at A Welcome Change.

TMJ pain often looks like pain around the jaw, around the ear, locked joints, difficulty chewing, teeth grinding, headaches and more. A jaw reset at A Welcome Change can relax the muscular tightness and bring the release you need.

If you realise you have a tight jaw,

Congratulations, you’re one of a few!

Tight jaw muscles are common, yet many don’t even realise they don’t have to feel that kind of pain.

While a tight TMJ is often a sign of stress, anxiety, or trauma, it can also indicate inflammation or injury, and can even be the cause of eye pain, vertigo, headaches, and even postural issues down the entire body.

Combining reiki and kinesiology techniques, a jaw reset can relax the tight muscles and restore proper jaw movement. In doing so, our clients often feel better not just physically but mentally too, as they physical stress is cleared.

Eat and communicate freely, with a jaw reset

You don’t need to be held back anymore.

While our ongoing clients have usually learned to recognise the signs and book right in, many people who are new to holistic healing can’t exactly pinpoint what’s going on for them to know what will help.

That’s where kinesiology shines. We use muscle testing to create a treatment that’s tailored to your body’s needs. Jaw reset is one of the more common kinesiology treatments because the jaw is used more frequently than many other joints.

Jaw Reset FAQ

  • How can kinesiology help you?
Kinesiology helps us recognise what the body is telling us, beyond our conscious understanding of where a pain, stress, or discomfort might be. Identifying symptoms only gets you so far, so using kinesiology techniques we’re able to work towards the root cause of the issue, to bring solutions that bring a welcome change in your life.
  • What can kinesiology treat?
Kinesiology is a method of identifying underlying issues, so that we can apply alternative therapies that can support your healing journey. It’s a bit like a microscope, that allows us to see the details of what’s going on. In saying that, kinesiology can be used as part of your healing in any area of your body, including: · Mental health · Chemical intolerances · Physical pain · Energy imbalances · Learning and memory issues
  • How can kinesiology improve my mental health?
We understand that the body is made up of interconnected parts, therefore if we ask the right questions, we can find the right solutions. Kinesiology can be part of the healing journey for mental health conditions like stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, as well as fears and phobias. It’s a non-invasive therapy that taps into the subconscious, responsible for a significant amount of our mental health. The purpose of kinesiology is to identify then correct blockages and imbalances, so that we can live a more balanced life. Kinesiology is not like talk therapy or CBT that a psychologist might use, operating in the conscious mind. If you are seeing someone for your mental health, it’s your responsibility to inform your medical practitioners of dietary and lifestyle changes, including things that we might discover during kinesiology that you can carry over into other areas.
  • Can kinesiology help me with intolerances?
Intolerances reflect imbalances in our body’s systems, so kinesiology can help to support you in your healing journey. It’s important to recognise that all bodies are different, so we’re not claiming that we can cure any and all conditions you’re experiencing. But often we find that the symptoms people experience aren’t as simple as they seem and can reveal more complex issues under the surface. Kinesiology can be a valuable part of your healing strategies with: Allergies Food sensitivities Hormonal imbalances Blood sugar imbalances Toxicity Skin Conditions Headaches Irritable Bowel Syndrome Dizziness Candida Digestive Issues Infections & immune problems
  • Can my physical pain be improved with kinesiology?
Yes, kinesiology can help to identify issues, discover the root causes, and enact strategies for healing right away. Sometimes the healing can come immediately, or within just a few sessions. Sometimes it’s part of a larger revelation that involves a multidisciplinary team. But we are always happy to be part of your healing journey and hope to bring a positive change with your physical pain. Some conditions we’ve used kinesiology to help heal include: Imbalances in the muscles, joints, and bones Poor posture Aches and pains Misalignments of the cranium, spine, and pelvis Headaches Coordination TMJ (see our work with jaw reset) Injuries and sports injuries
  • Can energy imbalances be fixed with kinesiology?
Using kinesiology muscle testing, we can identify the most significant energetic imbalances, before carefully choosing strategies to support rebalancing your energy. This is part of the reason we’re so highly qualified – we kept seeing people who needed diverse holistic therapies. We’re qualified as a: · Reiki Master · Spinal Flow Practitioner · Kinesiologist And we have completed courses in: · Bush flower essence · Jaw reset · Touch for health, and · Heart healing These diverse qualifications make us much more than a kinesiologist, and help us serve the Toowoomba community in more impactful ways.
  • Is kinesiology suitable for children?
Yes, kinesiology is appropriate for children as a non-invasive therapy. Plus, I have 23 years' experience in the classroom, so I really understand children. Just like my adult sessions, kinesiology for children is tailored to their exact needs, and I always anticipate that their engagement will be different to an adult. Children are completely welcome with their adult caregivers for kinesiology at A Welcome Change.
  • Does kinesiology help with brain problems?
Using kinesiology, we can recognise imbalances in any area of the body, including the brain. If you’re struggling with issues like emotional regulation, coordination, balance, polarity and more, kinesiology can be part of your healing journey. We’ll integrate other holistic therapies as suitable for your needs, including techniques like spinal flow.
  • Does kinesiology work with specific diagnoses?
Kinesiology is less about treating a specific medical condition, and more about testing and listening to what the body reveals is the underlying cause of your symptoms. Because we’re not the one doing the talking, sometimes the body will communicate other issues going on before the issue you think is the problem. It does require a shift in thinking in recognising that healing is something we participate in, rather than control.
  • Do you diagnose conditions with kinesiology?
No, kinesiology is not about diagnosing medical conditions as you’ll need a doctor for that. However, kinesiology techniques can reveal physical issues in the body that can be followed up with a medical practitioner if that is the most appropriate path for you. We will work to apply non-invasive, holistic health therapies to treat the issues we reveal in our studio, and we will ask questions about your medical history to help understand your situation.
